Feed additive baking soda

Product Details

Yuhua baking soda, the application of feed additive baking soda in poultry:
Using sodium bicarbonate as a feed additive for poultry can effectively improve the digestibility, utilization and energy conversion rate of poultry. Accelerating the absorption and utilization of nutrients and the excretion of harmful substances have significant effects on improving the anti-stress ability of the poultry body, promoting growth, increasing egg production, and improving eggshell quality. The product introduction is as follows:
(1) Animal health care

A. Improve the ability to resist heat stress
In the high temperature in summer, poultry are often affected by high temperature stress from the outside due to their poor heat dissipation function. When the ambient temperature rises above 35℃, the poultry's panting will be aggravated, a large amount of CO2 will be exhaled, and the alkali content in the blood will decrease. Adding 0.1% to 0.5% sodium bicarbonate to the feed can effectively increase the PH value in the blood and increase the alkalinity. Sex, which helps the endocrine system to work normally under stress and relieve heat stress.

B. Adjust the body's acid-base balance
Sodium bicarbonate is one of the most common body acid-base regulators. Adding sodium bicarbonate to the diet helps strengthen the body's buffering power. Usually poultry feed uses corn as the main raw material, which accounts for about 60% of the diet, so acidic substances are inevitably produced in the metabolic process. Sodium bicarbonate can neutralize gastric acid, dissolve mucus, reduce the viscosity of digestive juices, and strengthen gastrointestinal absorption, play a role in strengthening the stomach, suppressing acid and increasing appetite. At the same time, after sodium bicarbonate is absorbed into the blood by the gastrointestinal tract, it can neutralize the acidic substances in the blood, thereby reducing the acidity of the blood and maintaining the acid-base balance of various body fluids.

C. Improve egg production rate and eggshell strength
The normal concentration of carbonate and sodium and phosphorus in the blood of poultry are the key factors to ensure the quality of eggshells. Sodium bicarbonate can improve the mobility of phosphorus in the eggs and ensure that the concentration of phosphorus in the blood is maintained at the place where the eggshell is formed. The optimum level necessary. In the hot summer, due to the large amount of CO2 exhaled from the bird's body, the concentration of carbonate in the blood is correspondingly reduced, so that the calcium carbonate that forms the main component of the eggshell cannot be guaranteed, resulting in a decline in eggshell quality and a significant increase in defective eggs. Experiments have shown that adding 0.2% sodium bicarbonate to the diet of laying hens in summer (the total amount of bicarbonate in the diet is 0.38%) can promptly replenish the carbonate ions in the blood and significantly improve the laying of chickens. Rate, eggshell quality and feed conversion rate (p<>

D. Prevent diseases and reduce the side effects of drugs
Adding 0.1% to 0.5% sodium bicarbonate in the feed has obvious effects on improving the carcass grade and weight gain of broilers. It can significantly reduce the mortality of broilers, and reduce the incidence of broiler ascites, pleurisy, gastroenteritis and other gastrointestinal diseases. When sodium bicarbonate and sulfa drugs are used together, it can also effectively increase the solubility of sulfa drugs in urine, thereby reducing the adverse effects of these drugs on poultry kidneys and reducing the toxic side effects of drugs on poultry bodies.

(2) Application of baking soda in pig feed:

Baking soda is inexpensive and has a wide range of uses. It is a common substance necessary for pig farms. Pig blood is weakly alkaline, and its pH value is between 7.35 and 7.45. Frequent use of baking soda can play a health role in pig health.

Its functions and uses are as follows:

1. Stomach: adding 0.3% baking soda in the feed has a good stomach effect, enhances appetite and promotes digestion. At the same time, it can buffer the stimulating effect of gastric acid on gastric mucosa, and has certain preventive and therapeutic effects on gastric ulcers in pigs. The sodium ions contained in baking soda can increase appetite.

2. Laxatives: adding 0.5% baking soda to the feed can stimulate the peristalsis of the intestines and strengthen the inflow of water into the intestines. Therefore, baking soda can be used to treat pigs with mild constipation. Especially when pregnant sows with constipation cannot use potent laxatives, baking soda is the preferred laxative. For sows undergoing restricted feeding in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, baking soda should be frequently added to prevent constipation and reduce the increase in sow's body temperature.

3. Anti-stress: Baking soda is an important alkali storage in the body. The ratio of carbonic acid and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in the blood is 1:20. If it exceeds this range, the body will have a disease state. In the hot summer, baking soda can increase the content of bicarbonate ions in the blood and prevent respiratory acidosis. At the same time, baking soda can adjust the body's crystal osmotic pressure, which plays an important role in maintaining the electrolyte balance of body fluids. Therefore, baking soda has a good anti-stress effect, especially anti-heat stress. When used with vitamin C (not mixed together), the anti-heat stress effect is better.
